When coloring with alcohol markers our Paper Wishes designers use Alcohol-Proof Finesse Ink Pads by Spectrum Noir. Memento Dye Ink Pads work great too. When coloring with water colors, Finesse Water-Proof Dye Ink Pads by Spectrum Noir will not blend with water and smudge. StazOn permanent ink works great too and will not bleed when using with watercolors. A good rule is to use water based inks with alcohol markers and alcohol based/permanent inks with Water colors.

Love these but still confused on inks. I used Spectrum noir alcohol pens with WATER REACTIVE Crafters Companion ink pads. The pictures ran. What is the difference between alcohol proof & water reactive inks? I thought I'd be ok....wasnt...wound up in garbage.
Note From Store Owner: Water reactive inks (also called dye inks like the Harmony and Prism pads) will blend if water (or alcohol inks) are used with them. If you are stamping an image you want to color use the Finesse or StazOn ink pads which will not run when colored. Hope this helps.
