For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top. Cut 6¼"x4¾" Christmas Lace maroon dotted paper. Wrap ribbon across the paper, ½" from the top and glue the ends to the back. Glue the paper centered on the front.
Cut navy cardstock to fit the embossing folder. Tap the VersaMark™ ink pad inside the embossing folder, just on the half that is indented or debossed, covering it with ink. Very lightly spritz the cardstock with water, and then place inside the folder and emboss. Remove the cardstock and cover with embossing powder. Tap off the excess, and use the heat tool to melt the powder. Wash the embossing folder with soap and water.
Trim the embossed cardstock to 5½"x3¾", then trim along the lower lacy edge, close to the embossing. Mat on white cardstock with 1/16" borders, and glue centered on the front, tucking it under the ribbon.
Cut 3"x2¼" navy cardstock. Stamp and emboss “Merry Christmas” on it. Mat on white cardstock with 1/16" borders and foam tape ¾" from the top. Make a 4-loop bow and tie the center with thread. Glue to the first ribbon, overlapping the greeting’s upper left corner. Glue a ½" silver button to the bow center. Tie a thread bow and glue to the button.
For the inside: Cut 6½"x3¼" Christmas Lace blue dotted paper and mat the long edges on navy cardstock with 1/8" borders. Glue across the inside center. Make another lacy border heat-embossed panel as described in step 2, and trim to 2¾"x5". Trim along the lacy edge and glue to the inside, aligning the long straight edge with the left card edge.
Cut 3/8"x5" navy cardstock and glue to the lace panel, 1/8" from the left edge. Cut 2½"x2½" navy cardstock. Stamp and emboss “Christmas a day when…” on it. Mat on white cardstock with 1/8" borders, and then on navy cardstock with 1/16" borders. Foam tape centered on the inside.
