Place your card with the fold at the top. Cover the card front with Rhapsody red patterned paper. Cut a 6 1/4"x2 1/4" each of Rhapsody white/black dots paper and Rhapsody blue/black dots paper and glue them centered 1/16” from the top of the card, side-by-side as one piece.
Cut a 6 1/4"x5/8” Rhapsody striped paper and glue across the bottom of the blue/black dotted paper, 1/16” from the bottom. Add Black Thin Lines Dazzles™ between the two dotted papers and around the edges of the papers as shown.
Open the card out flat, facing up. Ink the antennae portion of the butterfly stamp with VersaMark™ ink. Mask the remaining butterfly with Post-it® notes, leaving just the antennae exposed. Stamp the antennae angled on the white/black dots paper on the card front, 3/8” from the top and 1 3/4" from the left side. Sprinkle with black super fine embossing powder, tap off the excess, and emboss with the heat gun.
With the card still out flat, position the butterfly cutting die aligned with the stamped/embossed antennae, with the cutting edges toward the paper. Tape in place, then place appropriately on the platform for your die-cutting machine and run it through your machine. Remove the cutting die and butterfly shape to reveal the butterfly shaped window.
Stamp 1 large, 1 medium, and 2 small flower images, 2 leaves, plus 1 butterfly image onto white cardstock paper with VersaMark™ ink. Sprinkle each with black embossing powder, tap off the excess, and emboss with the heat gun. Position the large flower cutting die face down on the large flower embossed image so the cutting edges are toward the image. Tape the edges in place. Position appropriately on the platform of your die cutting machine and run it through your machine. Repeat for the remaining images with their matching cutting dies.
Take the paintbrush included with the watercolor pencil sets and dip it into your container of clean water. Brush a small amount of water onto a petal of the large embossed flower image. While the paper is still damp, scribble the #126 (red) pencil at the base of the petal, then use the damp brush over the color to spread it out over the petal, leaving some lighter and white areas as you go. Use a paper towel to soak up excess water or color as needed. While the paper is still damp, add more pencil to the base of the petal and repeat with the brush. Now scribble with the pencil again, leaving some additional texture on the petal. Continue this process, working a few petals at a time, completing the remaining petals. For the orange flower center, dip the #115 pencil point in water, and then add the color to the flower center. Repeat as needed to keep the pencil point wet. Spread the color with the damp brush if needed. Repeat for the remaining 3 flower images. For the leaves, use the wet paintbrush on the #251 pencil to pick up the silver color, then paint the leaf images.
Arrange the flowers and leaves overlapping the paper on the card front and foam tape in place as shown. Use the Tiny Tags & Little Labels Template to trace a Bracket Label B shape onto white cardstock. Remove the template and cut out the shape. Paint the cardstock with the #251 pencil as you did for the leaves. Let dry and mat on black cardstock with 1/16” borders. Place Tiny Words & Phrases Dazzles™ “Congratulations!” centered on the shape. Glue on the upper right area on the card as shown. Use 1/8” wide orange grosgrain ribbon to tie a bow and Zot™ on the edge of the shape as shown.
Inside: Place the embossed butterfly image on the inside so it is centered inside the butterfly-shaped opening on the front when the card is closed. Lightly trace around the edges with of the butterfly with a pencil. Remove the embossed butterfly image and set aside. Mask the wings and stamp only the antennae aligned with the traced butterfly shape on the inside of the card, using VersaMark™ ink. Sprinkle with black embossing powder, tap off the excess, and emboss. Erase the pencil lines.
Cover the bottom 2 1/2" of the card with white/black dotted paper. Cut a 5/8” wide Rhapsody striped paper and mat the top long edge on blue/black dotted paper with a 1/4" border. Glue even with the bottom of the card. Add Thin Lines Border Dazzles™ on the top edge of the white/black dotted paper and the blue/black dotted paper.
Color the embossed/die cut butterfly image with #153 and #115 pencils, using the same technique as for the flowers on the darker colored areas. Once you spread the color on the darker blue areas with the damp brush, use the color remaining on your brush to color other spaces for lighter color. Let dry, then glue on the card aligned with the antennae so the wings show through the window on the front.
Use the Tiny Tags & Little Labels Template to trace a Rectangular Label A shape on white cardstock. Cut it out and paint it with #251 pencil as you did for the label on the front. Let dry. Mat on black with 1/16” borders. Glue centered on the white/black dotted paper. Place Dazzles™ “Life Is Good” and a heart on the left side of the label as shown. Foam tape the remaining small colored flower image on the right side of the label as shown. Zot™ an orange bow on the edge of the label.
