Congratulations Cake Box Card
Designer’s Tip: I used a template to create the stars for this card, but if you have a set of nested stars dies, use those for easier and faster results!
Instructions:
1. For the card: Follow the die package directions to create the cake box card, using Simply Stripes yellow, blue, and red cardstocks for the cake and white cardstock for the frosting pieces. Omit the candle. Before assembling the layers and after gluing the frosting pieces in place, position border Dazzles™ along the lower edges of the frosting, covering the scalloped edges. Finish assembling the box card.
2. Use the template to trace and cut a total of eight 1"-2½" stars from the red, yellow, and blue Dotted Duos papers. Mat each on white cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue and foam tape the stars to the cake, beginning at the bottom and extending up the left side to the cake top.
3. Place words and phrases Dazzles™ on the stars as shown, adding star Dazzles™ to the empty paper stars. Tie a shoestring bow with navy jute and glue it below the stars on the top layer. Make a 4-loop bow with navy jute and tie the center with a short jute length. Glue the bow among the stars on the bottom layer.
