Designer’s Note: This pretty card is just perfect for displaying because it stands up very easily. Just write your note on the back before flattening the column and tucking the card in an envelope!
Instructions:
1. For the card: Cut 9"x6½" Vintage Artistry pink floral cardstock and ink the edges. Place it horizontally and score it vertically 1", 2", 3", and 4" from the left end. Crease all the scores in valley folds. (Eventually, the cardstock will “roll up” on those scores to create the pillar.) Place sticky tape on the outer surface of the first section, near the fold, but don’t adhere it yet.
2. For the large panel: Die cut a 5½" tall scalloped oval from vellum and ink the edges. Glue it to the large panel ½" from the right edge. Place purple washi tape along the bottom, trimming the excess. Trim the tan moth from the large purple bouquet, then glue the bouquet over the oval. Foam tape the tan moth near the card top and place brown “thinking of you” Dazzles™ near the bottom as shown.
3. For the pillar front: Glue the pink lace border on the third section so it extends out over the second section and trim the excess. Wrap swirl sheer ribbon over the section, gluing the ends to the back. Make a 4-loop bow with the same ribbon and tie the center with ⅛" wide grosgrain ribbon. Trim the ends and glue the bow over the first ribbon, 1¾" from the top. Foam tape the lavender moth to the section as shown.
4. Finishing: Roll up the pillar and tuck the end against the 4" score. Remove the tape liner and flatten the pillar to adhere the tape to the card’s large panel. Write your message and sign your card on the back, then flatten the pillar to the right and tuck the card into an envelope. To display the card, pull the column front upward or forward and stand the card upright.
