Ball Ornament
Cut 6"x1/2" strips from the following papers: 5 strips from green textured paper; 5 strips from green/red/ivory striped paper; 10 strips from ivory/red/green plaid paper. Align the plaid strips back to back with the green texture strips and striped strips, then glue together.
Punch a hole at each short end of each strip, about 1/4" from the end of the strip. Punch one strip, then use it as a placement template for the rest of the strips. Stack the strips together, alternating the striped and green texture strips, with the plaid on the bottom. Insert a brad through the holes at each end.
Gently pull the strips away from each other to form a ball. Tie thread around one brad to hang. Layer a 3" red poinsettia with a 2 1/2" ivory one. Insert top of the thread through the center of the layered poinsettias and pull tight. Add gold star brad to center of flowers and Zot to the top of the ornament.
Variation:
After forming the ball, press the centers of the ornament together and glue in place. Layer a 2 1/8" red poinsettia with a 1 1/4" ivory poinsettia and secure with a gold star brad. Zot to the center of the ornament (add poinsettias to reverse side as well, if you wish). Choose a loop for the top and tie thread around the top of the loop to hang.
