Wood & Woodland Pop-Up Cube Card
Instructions:
1. For the card’s tall cube: Cut 8½"x4½" aqua solid cardstock and place it horizontally. Score it 2", 4", 6", and 8" from the left end leaving ½” at the right end. Crease all the scores in mountain folds, creating a cube shape. Place sticky tape on the outer surface of the ½" tab on the right end. Don’t remove the liner yet.
2. Cut four 1⅞"x3⅞" Wood & Woodland dark boards cardstock and glue them centered on the inside surfaces of the four large panels. Cut four 1⅞"x3⅞" Wood & Woodland light boards cardstock with the border along the bottom and glue them centered on the outer surfaces of the four large panels. Attach the tab to the left end of the cube, on the inside.
3. For the medium cube: Cut 9½"x2" aqua solid cardstock, place it horizontally, and score it 1½", 4½", 6", and 9" from the left end. Again, crease all the scores in mountain folds and place sticky tape on the tab’s outer surface. Cut two 1⅞"x2⅞" and two 1⅞"x1⅜" Wood & Woodland green boards. Attach them centered on the outer surfaces of the cube.
4. Cut two 1⅞"x2⅞" and two 1⅞"x1⅜" Wood & Woodland golden boards. Attach them centered on the inner surfaces of the cube. Attach the tab to the left end, on the inside. Place sticky tape on one of the large green board panels. Flatten the tall cube and attach the medium cube to its left front panel, aligning the left and bottom edges.
5. For the small cube: Cut 8½"x2" aqua cardstock, place it horizontally, and score it 2", 4", 6" and 8" from the left end. Create the cube by creasing the scores in mountain folds, then place sticky tape on the tab’s outer surface.
6. Cut four 1⅞"x1⅞" Wood & Woodland golden brown boards and attach them centered on the cube’s inside panels. Cut four 1⅞"x1⅞" blue boards cardstock and attach them centered on the cubes outside panels. Attach the tab to the left end, on the inside. Place sticky tape on one of the blue board panels. Flatten the tall cube and attach the small cube to its right front panel, aligning the right and bottom edges.
7. Decorating the card: Place silver straight line Dazzles™ near the upper edges on the tall cube and the lower edges of all the cubes, placing them just on the outer surfaces. Place silver “get better quick” Dazzles™ onto the golden oval label die-cut. Cut a ⅛"x1¼" strip of foam tape and attach it to the center seam on the card front, inside both front cubes. Center the label onto the foam tape and press firmly in place.
8. Die cut the elk from tan cardstock and the moose from medium brown cardstock. Glue them to the panel fronts as shown. Foam tape the bear cutout to the blue cube on the front panel and the “just for you” sentiment on the tall cube as shown. Glue the mouse cutout and foam tape the “hugs for you” die-cut on the top of the blue cube as shown. To flatten the card, push the small and medium cubes upward while flattening the tall cube.
