Cut the front and side upper closing flaps from the clear box, pop the base flaps into place and fold down the top flap along the scored line, creating an upright open-top box.
TECHNIQUE – Deep Embossing: Swipe the center area of 4”x4½” black cardstock with VersaMark™ and dust with WOW! Ultra High gold embossing powder. Let the cardstock sit while you ink the small haunted house stamp with the black StazOn® ink pad, then leave it sitting on the stamp until ready to use (work quickly). Heat the cardstock from underneath with the heat gun until the embossing powder is melted, then heat briefly from above to keep the embossing powder hot. Quickly re-ink the stamp and press firmly into the hot embossing powder (being careful not to touch the melted powder with your fingers). Carefully remove to reveal the deeply embossed image. Repeat the technique using a 4½”x2½” black cardstock and the “HAPPY HALLOWEEN” stamp. Tear the edges of the cardstock pieces close to the gold edges of the embossed powder. Save for Steps 4 and 5.
Sand and distress the edges of the following orange Halloween papers: 4”x3 5/8” and two at 2”x3 5/8”. Mat each paper on black cardstock with 1/16" borders. Tear ½” from the long edges of 9”x4” Darkroom tan scuffed paper and ink the torn edges. Tear ½” from the long edges of 9”x2” Darkroom tan scuffed paper and stamp the small spider in black across the length of the strip. Glue the strip ½” from the top of the wider torn paper. Glue the piece across the centers of the three orange matted papers, trimming even with the sides. Zot™ the pieces onto the front and sides of the clear box.
