Glittered Package Christmas Card
For the card front: Cut 6½"x5" black cardstock and glue to the card front. Cut 6 3/8"x4 7/8" Hopscotch red dot paper and glue centered on the front. Cut out a gift Colorist paper along the outer edges of the design.
Use the pencils to color the design completely, pressing firmly for more intense colors. Brush over the design with the water brush to blend each color. To clean the brush between colors, brush it over clean paper towels until all the color is removed from the bristles.
When the painted panel is completely dry, cut 5¾"x4¾" glitter sheet and place over it. Trim the excess along the paper edges, then mat on green cardstock with 1/16" borders. Foam tape to the front, ¼" from the left edge.
Cut out a 2 3/8"x1 1/8" Colorist blank label and color the frame dark blue and the center pink. Brush with the water brush, then let dry. Stamp “magical time of year” in the center, then cover with glitter sheet and trim the excess. Mat on black cardstock with 1/16" borders.
Wrap black jute over the right end and glue the ends to the back. Glue and foam tape the label to the front at the lower right as shown. Place rhinestones on the ornaments and label as shown. Make a 4-loop black jute bow and tie the center with black jute. Glue to the twine on the label near the top.
For the inside: Cut 5½"x4" Hopscotch green plaid paper and mat on black cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue centered on the inside. Cut 6½"x¾" Hopscotch striped paper and mat the long edges on red cardstock with 1/16" borders.
Cut two 4" red jute lengths. Glue one end of a strand to the back of the striped strip, 3" from the left end, then wrap the long end over the lower edge of the strip, around the top, across the back, and let it dangle below the lower edge. Repeat with the second length, 1¾" from the left end. Glue the strip to the inside, ¾" from the fold.
Stamp the ornament twice on white cardstock. Cut out a 2 1/8"x1¼" Colorist blank label. Color the ornaments and label with pencils and use the water brush on them as for the front. When dry, stamp “Christmas Greetings” on the label, then cover it and the ornaments with glitter sheet, trimming the excess.
Glue the ornaments over the jute ends, positioned as shown, trimming off any excess jute. Foam tape the label at the upper right as shown. Tie two red jute bows and glue one to the top of each ornament. Place rhinestones as shown.
