Christmas Lights Border Card
For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top. Cut a 6 3/8"x4 7/8" green words paper, positioning the words at the lower right. Cut a 6 3/8"x7/8" white cardstock piece and glue a 7" green striped ribbon centered on it. Glue to the words piece, ½” from the upper edge, then glue the ribbon ends on the back.
Knot one end of the gold cord. Working left to right, make a loop about 1¼" from the end and secure to the ribbon with a Christmas light brad by positioning the prongs over the cording. Repeat across the ribbon as shown. Knot the cord a 1¼" from the last brad and trim the end. Use the embellishment glue to secure the cording ends to the ribbon. Glue the constructed front centered on the card.
For the inside: Cut a 6 3/8"x4 7/8" red checks paper. Print the sentiment on the green mesh paper, then trim it to 3½"x2". Mat on white with 1/16" borders and on green with ¼" borders. Glue to the checks piece, 7/8" from the right edge.
Cut a 4½" gold cord length and knot each end. Form into a loop and secure to the sentiment with a brad at the lower right. Glue the constructed sentiment centered on the inside. Cut out the lights acetate border and use vellum glue behind the lights to attach it to the card along the left edge of the sentiment. Trim the excess.
