Twisting Pop-Up Sweetest Pick Card

Instructions:

1. For the card front: To create the 5"x5" card, place the card with the fold at the top, then trim 1½" off one end. Cut 5"x5" Strawberry Delight pink mesh cardstock with the crate in the lower right corner and ink the edges with Red Earth. Glue it to the card front. Cut 5"x1" black/red cardstock and mat the long edges on red cardstock with ⅛" borders. Wrap black jute twice across it near the upper edge and glue the ends to the back. Glue it ½" from the card top.

2. Foam tape the “you are the sweetest…” die-cut overlapping the border near the left edge as shown. Foam tape the “always thinking of you” cutout overlapping the tag at the lower right. Make a 6-loop bow with black jute and tie the center with more jute. Glue the bow to the tag top. Place dew drops and adhesive dots on the front as shown.

3. For the inside: Cut 4½"x6" Strawberry Delight green border cardstock and mat it on dark green cardstock with ⅛" borders. Cut it in half to make two 4½"x3" panels, and glue them to the inside as shown. 

4. Die cut the pop-up mechanism from red cardstock. Trace and cut the hearts pop-up pattern from red cardstock and accordion-fold it on the dashed lines, beginning and ending with valley folds. Ink the edges of the pop-up with Red Earth. Follow the die package directions to construct the pop-up through step 6.

5. Position the folded hearts pop-up on the pop-up mechanism as illustrated in step 8, but before adding the tape, draw along the curved edges of the hearts onto both “legs” of the mechanism. Place tape just below the lines, then attach the heart as described in step 9 with the heart’s shoulders facing left and the point facing right.

6. Cut out all the Strawberry Delight cutouts shown and glue them to the hearts and the inner panels as shown. Place dew drops and adhesive dots on the cutouts as shown.
