Bee Happy Double Front Card
Instructions:
1. For the card & outer front: Place the card with the fold on the right. Along both the right and left edges, measure 2⅝" down from the top and make marks. Measure 2⅝" up from the bottom along the sides and make marks. Cut between the marks from the outer edge to the fold, then cut along the fold to remove the strip.
2. Trim the strip to 1⅛" wide. Place the strip horizontally and score it vertically ½" in from the left end. Fold this tab under and place sticky tape on the outer surface of the tab. With the card closed, position the tab along the left edge, centering it between the two front panels. Press it in place. The strip should open to the left and the two front panels should open to the right.
3. Open the strip. Cut 5"x2½" acetate and glue it to the two front panels, spanning them. Cut 5"x2⅝" Bee Happy faded blue bee hive cardstock with the box hives in the lower left corner. Ink the edges with Royal Blue, then glue it to the lower front panel. Cut 5"x2⅝" from the upper portion of the same cardstock, ink the edges, and glue it to the upper front panel.
4. Place blue thin line Dazzles™ near the upper and lower edges of the top and bottom front panels as shown, trimming the excess. Cut 4½"x1⅛" Bee Happy faded blue border cardstock, using the floral border, and ink the edges. Glue it to the strip.
5. Cut 2¾"x3¼" Bee Happy green/yellow patterned cardstock with dark green along the bottom and ink the edges with Pear Green. Mat it on light green cardstock with 1/16" borders. Foam tape the “bee happy” circle die-cut near the upper edge. Die cut the large bee from dark yellow cardstock and the body from black cardstock. Glue the body behind the large bee’s body. Glue the wings to vellum, then cut along the edges. Glue and foam tape the bee to the green rectangle as shown.
6. For the inside front: Open the strip. Cut out the Bee Happy “even busy bees…” large cutout and mat it on light green cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue it to the front so it’s hidden behind the front bee embellishment when the strip is closed.
7. For the inside: Open the front. Cut 5"x4¾" Bee Happy faded blue border cardstock (leftover from the front strip) and ink the edges Royal Blue. Place blue thin line Dazzles™ near the upper and lower edges, trimming the excess, then glue the cardstock centered inside. Cut out the three Bee Happy cutouts and glue them as shown.
