Celebrate Card
Card front: Cut a 12”x6” red cardstock and fold in half to make your card. With the card folded in half, place your cutting die so that the first butterfly is centered on the card fold. The second butterfly will be about ½” from the right edge. Run through the die cutting machine. This will create 3 butterflies die cut across your card. Die cut several small flowers and butterflies from various colors of Pretty Little Posies paper. Set aside.
Cut two 2”x6” Pretty Little Posies papers. Valley fold one piece in half the long way, and glue centered along the inside card fold. Mountain fold the remaining piece in half the long way and glue centered along the outside card fold. Cut a 3¾"x6” Pretty Little Posies border paper, using the bottom left floral corner. Cut another 3¾"x6” from the same paper, using the top part of the border. Add a floral Embellies™ brad, and two small brads inserted into two small flowers from Step 1 to the floral border paper as shown. Glue the floral border paper to the card front, keeping the left edges even, and making sure the right edge is even with the middle of the butterfly. Add the border and “Celebrate” Dazzles™ as shown. Break the legs off of three Embellies™ brads and foam tape to the bottom right. Glue the second border piece to the back of the card along the fold, keeping the edges even, and making sure the left edge comes just the to middle of the butterfly.
Card inside: Die cut 3 swirly butterflies from the Pretty Little Posies green paper. Die cut 3 vellum butterflies and 3 Pretty Little Posies red print paper butterflies using the medium solid butterfly cutting die. Die cut three butterfly bodies from Pretty Little Posies red print paper. Glue the three Pretty Little Posies red print butterflies to the three pivoting butterflies. Glue the green swirly butterflies to the vellum butterflies. Foam tape just the middle of the vellum butterflies onto the red print ones, and then glue the red bodies on top. Add the border Dazzles™ to the bodies as shown. Glue a 12”x1” Pretty Little Posies beige/floral print paper along the bottom of the card. Place the “Happy Birthday” Dazzles™ on the bottom right corner. Place lengths of Gold Jewel Border Dazzles™ along the top and bottom of the card, ¼” from each edge. Foam tape several small flower and butterfly die-cuts from Step 1 along the border Dazzles™. Valley fold the middle butterfly in half. Mountain Fold the two outer butterflies, where they join the middle one, so that they pivot to the outside when the card is closed.
