For the card front: Open the card and score it at 3¼" and 6½" from the left edge. Fold the left end in, then fold it in again. Trim off the third panel to 3¼" wide. Cover the card front (which is the outside surface of the center panel) with Christmas red squares paper. Punch a circle from white paper and use as a pattern to draw a window in the front, 1 1/8" from the upper edge. Open the card and cut out the window.
Place the card face down with the iris folding pattern centered in the window and secure with temporary adhesive. Cut four 3" lengths of each ribbon. Place red grosgrain ribbon on #1 and #2, aligning the edges with the pattern lines and gluing the ends to secure. Place red striped ribbon on #3 and #4, securing as before. Continue, following the numbers and photo for placement of the ribbons.
Cut out the St. Nick art, center his face in the window opening, and glue. Punch a circle in Christmas red textured paper. Center that hole in the scalloped circle punch and punch it out. Glue over the window on the front as a frame. Cut two 1½" grosgrain ribbons and fold each in half. Glue one behind each end of the “Happy Christmas” paper ribbon, then foam tape it to the front below the window. Place nailheads as shown.
For the inside: Trim any ribbon ends extending beyond the card edge and the folds. Fold the first panel to the inside and glue to cover all the ribbons. Cover the third panel with Christmas diamonds paper. Mat the sentiment on Christmas green textured paper with 1/16" borders, then on white paper with 1/32" borders. Cut two 1" ribbons, fold in half, and glue behind the sentiment at the upper left. Glue the sentiment to the inside and place the nailheads as shown.
