Recipe for a Happy Birthday
Turn the card so the fold is at the top. Cover the card front with cherries paper, then ink edges with the rhubarb stalk inkpad. Cut a 2” x 2 3/4” Humungo adhesive rectangle and attach to aqua paper or cardstock. Remove the layer of plastic covering the adhesive. Pour some snow blue flock onto the adhesive rectangle and rub in with your fingers. Add more flock as needed for coverage. Use the brayer to adhere the flock well, and smooth the surface. Shake off any excess flock.
Stamp the cupcake server, utensils, and timer images onto the flocked rectangle as shown and let dry. Trim rectangle from remaining paper or cardstock, then mat on dark pink. Use a red marker from the brush marker set to embellish the stamped images as shown.
Write or computer print journaling for ingredients and directions on aqua paper or cardstock and tag. Stamp the words “Ingredients&rdquo,; “Directions&rdquo,; and “Recipe” as shown with Rhubarb Stalk ink. Use the red marker to add ":" as needed. Trim aqua paper or cardstock to a 4 ¾” x 3 1/8” rectangle with the words at the right side. Glue stamped flocked rectangle to the left side of the piece. Mat on red, leaving a 3/8” border. Stamp scalloped border on the red matting, along bottom and top edges of the aqua rectangle. Add ribbon to the top of the tag and glue to the upper right side as shown. Zot bow as shown.
Inside the card: Ink edges of a 3 ¾” x 3 ½” cherries paper rectangle and glue centered on the inside, ¾” from the bottom. Write or computer print message on aqua paper or cardstock, trim to a rectangle, then stamp oven mitt and heart near the words with rhubarb stalk ink. Ink edges black and mat on red. Stamp scalloped border image across bottom of red mat. Glue centered over cherries paper. Stamp “with love” on the small red tag with black ink. Stamp a cherry near the bottom of the tag. Glue tag angled over bottom right corner. Zot ribbon as shown.
