With the card fold at the top, cover the card front with lavender cardstock, trimming edges evenly. Ink the edges of a 6 ¼” x 4 ¾” yellow/blue/lavender/green rectangle and glue centered to the lavender card front. Cut a 6 ¼” x ¾” lilac strip and ink the edges. Use the pencil to draw strings across the center of the strip, then draw in the tangles with the black pen. Glue across the center of the card front.
Use the template to trace the large butterfly shape onto lavender cardstock with the black pen, then trace the inside wings (with center) onto lilac cardstock. Trim around the shapes, leaving a thin border at the edges outside the black line. Use the black pen to draw tangles on the wings. I used the same tangle for the entire large butterfly, then a different one for the smaller wings. Trace and cut out a lilac body for the butterfly and draw a tangle on the body. Fill in the head area and antennae with the black pen. Layer the pieces together with foam tape and glue angled over the card front as shown.
Write or computer print “hello” on lilac cardstock, trim to a small tag shape and add a pen line around the edge. Cut a small piece of lavender cardstock for a tab and glue to the end. Add a pen line around the edge. Glue the tag to the lower left portion of the card front. Add a pen line around the edge of the flowers paper. Embellish with short lines as shown. Add swirls to some to the flower centers with the pen as desired.
Cut a 5” x ¾” lilac strip and create a Zentangle border as you did for the front. Glue across the inside, 1 ½” from the bottom. Write or computer print “Hope you’re feeling better soon on the tag. Glue tag centered over the border. Add pen line around the edges of the tag. Trace a 2 ½” butterfly shape from the template onto lavender cardstock with the black pen, outlining the inside shapes as well. Remove the template and trim around the edges of the butterfly, leaving a thin border outside the black line. Add tangles to the inside shapes, and around the edges. Fill in the body black. Glue to the inside, angled overlapping the tag. Add antennae using the black pen and template.
