At The Shore Ocean Friends Pop-Up Card
Instructions:
1. For the card: Cut 7¼"x6" light blue cardstock and place it horizontally. Score it ½” and 3¼” from the left end. Cut 7"x6" light blue cardstock, place it horizontally, and score it 3" from the left end. With one cardstock dark side up, center the 2⅜"x3" rectangle die on the small panel. Die cut a window. Repeat with the second cardstock.
2. On the first cardstock, place sticky tape on the dark blue side of the ½” tab. Attach it to the narrow panel’s left edge on the second cardstock, creating an accordion-folded card with windows in the center panels. Close the card.
3. For the front: Cut the At The Shore beach path to 3¾"x5¾" and glue it centered on the front. Cut the left end off the “thinking of you” die-cut, making it 2½" long, then foam tape it to the front at the lower right.
4. Cut one end off the rounded blank label die-cut shown, making it 2" long. Wrap two strands of natural jute across it near the cut end and glue the ends to the back. Glue the label to the front at the upper right, aligning the top edges. Foam tape the “ocean friends” die-cut as shown. Hold two natural jute strands together, tie a shoestring bow, and glue it as shown.
5. For the inside: Cut 3¾"x5¾" At The Shore lighthouse cardstock and glue it centered on the inside left panel. Cut 3¾"x5¾" faded beach scene cardstock and glue it centered on the inside right panel. Cut four 2¾"x1¼" At The Shore blue textured cardstock and glue them above and below the windows on the center panels.
6. Cut 10"x2¾" tan cardstock and place it horizontally. Beginning at the left end, score it at ½", 1½", 5", 8½", and 9½". With the light side up, crease the center score in a valley fold and all the others in mountain folds. Place sticky tape on the two end tabs.
7. Insert the end of the pop-up through both windows. Fold the pop-up on the three center folds, but not the end scores. Center the pop-up in the windows, making sure it’s tucked inside the card when the front is closed. Remove the tape backing and press the front and back closed, securing the pop-up. Open the card.
8. Cut two 3¼"x2½" and two ¾"x2½" At The Shore golden sand cardstocks. Glue them centered on the pop-up’s panels. Cut 3¼" from each end of the beach scene border die-cut and glue them to the pop-up’s center panels. Glue the two sentiment die-cuts to the panels as shown. Wrap and tie a navy jute strand over the left pop-up panel and green jute to the right panel.
