1. Open one envelope. Place glue along the tip of another envelope’s flap and insert it into the first envelope. Repeat for three more envelopes. Then glue the back flap to the back of the last envelope.
2. Cover the front of the book with flag Happy Birthday USA cardstock. Cut out “American since 1776” and “Happy Birthday” then foam tape as shown.
3. Next page: Open another envelope and cut out the bottom area making a template to cover the openings. Trace around the template when placed on the stripe paper. Cut out and glue over the page. Cut 2 ½”x7” red fireworks cardstock and glue inside the envelope. Tuck the blue stars/butterflies cut out in the pocket.
4. Next page: Cover the page with white stars paper. Cut out “We the People eagle” and glue in the center. Cut out a patriotic butterfly and glue as shown.
5. Next page: glue 4 1/8”x6 ¾” white stars on blue sheet in the center. Glue the “We the People and Statue of Liberty” in the center.
6. Next page: use the template to cut the red fireworks sheet and glue in place. Cut
7. 2 ½”x7” white with stars and glue tucked into the pocket. Glue rocket on blue stars on the right. Tuck Statue of Liberty with fireworks into the pocket.
8. Next page: Glue 4 3/8”x4 ¾” horizontal stripes in the center. Glue the liberty bell cutout on top. Glue “Let Freedom Ring” at the bottom.
9. Next page: Cover the page with blue stripe/red stars paper. Glue 3 ¾”x7 ¼” blue/white stars in the center. Glue Abraham Lincoln cutout in the center. Glue 3 ¾”x ¾” red fireworks below the cutout. Glue circle stars border in the center.
10. Next page: Cover the page with fireworks paper. Glue flag cutout in the center.
11. Next page: Use the template to cut printed silver stars paper over the pocket. Remove the “Our Flag Does Not Fly” and place on the craft mat. Use a blending brush to apply royal blue ink pad on the edges and on the edges of the pocket. Glue on the pocket. Cut 2 ½”x7” red fireworks and glue tucked into the pocket. Place flag/eagle, eagle and “America land of the free because of the brave” in the pocket.
12. Back of book: Cover with gold holographic stars cardstock.
13. Ribbon: Cut double length of red/white baker’s twine and fold in half. Insert into the book and tie the ends in a knot on the front.
