For the card front: Turn the card with the fold on the left and cover with Jewel black glimmer paper. Cut a 4¾"x6¼" Jewel dark blue paper. Cut a 3"x5" Jewel blue words paper and mat all but the top edge on Jewel black glimmer paper with ?" borders. Stamp “love” in blue on Jewel dark pink paper. Fold the ivory folder tab and glue the word behind the window. Attach the tab to the words paper at the upper left with a pink brad. Glue to the dark blue paper, aligning the upper edges.
Trace and cut out the large partial circle from Jewel dark pink paper. Corrugate, then lightly rub plum ink over it. Glue to the dark blue paper, aligning the upper right corners. Wrap twill across and glue as shown, then glue the dark blue piece centered on the card. Trace and cut a medium ruffled rose from Jewel dark pink paper and ink the edges plum. Use the petal roller to roll the ruffled outer edges downward. Follow the instructions to roll the rose. (Tip: I find it helps to insert the roller about ¾" from the end for a “stem” to pull down through the rose.)
Glue the rose “stem” under the twill, then knot a 3" twill and glue over the stem. Cut out the embossed gold circle and “friend” tags. Hold the “happy birthday” tag over the gold circle and punch through both at the top. Tie them onto the twill together with the thread. Glue “friend” above the rose as shown.
For the inside: Cut a 2"x6½" jewel dark blue paper and glue centered on the inside. Cut a 4½"x4" Jewel blue words paper. Cut a 6" navy ribbon and knot 1½" from one end. Glue across the words paper, gluing the ends on the back. Glue the paper to the inside as shown. Cut the small partial circle from Jewel burgundy paper and emboss it with the corrugator. Rub the plum ink pad over it, then glue to the lower left corner. Print the sentiment on Jewel dark pink paper and trim to 2¼"x1¾". Ink the edges plum and mat on Jewel black glimmer paper with 1/16" borders. Glue just under the ribbon edge. Cut out the gold “laugh” tag and glue under the knot. Tie thread on the ribbon as shown.
