Instructions:
1. For the card front: Open the card. Fold the sides in to meet at the center score line and crease firmly. Cut 4½"x6" Mystic Moon purple mesh cardstock and mat it on lavender cardstock with ⅛" borders. Cut it in half vertically, then glue the halves to the front panels so the cut edges meet at the center. Place silver straight line Dazzles™ on the mesh cardstock near the upper and lower edges, trimming the excess.
2. For inside the gatefold card: Cut 4½"x12" dark blue cardstock and fold it in the center to make a top-folding 4½"x6" card. Cut 4¼"x 5¾" Mystic Moon large owl cardstock with the owl at the lower left. Place silver straight line Dazzles™ near the upper and lower edges as shown, trimming the excess. Glue it centered on the blue card front.
3. Cut out the “happy birthday” and moth circle cutouts and glue them to the front as shown. Color a chipboard moth with Blue Turquoise, creating an ombre effect with the three shades. Paint it and the large moon with sparkle ink, then glue the moth overlapping the sentiment as shown. Glue the card centered inside the gatefold card.
4. For inside the top-fold card: Cut 4¼"x5¾" Mystic Moon blue floral border cardstock and place silver straight line Dazzles™ near the upper and lower edges, trimming the excess. Glue the cardstock centered on the lower card panel.
5. Cut 3¾"x1¼" dark blue cardstock and place it horizontally. Score it ⅞", 1⅞", and 2⅞" from the left end. Crease all the scores in mountain folds. Place sticky tape on the outer surfaces of both ends. Fold the strip in half, then center the cut ends against the card’s fold. Remove the tape backing and close the card, capturing the strip. Open the card to make sure the pop-up mechanism works.
6. Color the rose moon chipboard shape with pens, then spritz it with white ink. Color the moon areas with sparkle ink. Die cut a 2½" dark blue cardstock circle and glue the chipboard moon to it. Die cut a 3" light blue scalloped circle and a 3¼" purple circle. Stack and glue the circles, then glue them to the front section of the pop-up as shown.
7. Glue the “have a super…” die-cut as shown. Color a chipboard moth with shades of purple, add the sparkle ink, then glue it as shown.
8. For the bellyband: Cut 11"x1½" dark purple cardstock. Position the center of the strip on the center front of the gatefold card and gently fold the ends to the back, making sure the band will slip on and off the card easily. Overlap the ends and glue them together.
9. Cut 4⅞"x1¼" Mystic Moon purple border cardstock and place silver straight line Dazzles™ near the long edges, trimming the excess. Glue it to the back of the bellyband. Repeat for the front, utilizing the border area of the same purple cardstock.
10. Color the rose and star chipboard shape with markers, then spritz it with white ink. Color the moon and star with the sparkle ink. Die cut a 2½" dark blue cardstock circle and glue the moon to it. Die cut a 3" purple scalloped circle and glue the moon’s circle to it. Glue the circles to the center front of the belly band. Cut out the “celebrating you” cutout and foam tape it to the band as shown.
