Note: Where matting is mentioned in these instructions, leave a 1/16" border around the object.
For the front: Place your card with the fold on the top. Glue 6 1/2" x 2" of metallic gold paper across the bottom. Cut 6 1/2" x 5" of border paper and place the border along the top. Tear off the bottom 1 1/2" of the paper, leaving a white torn edge. Glue to the card aligned at the top. Glue brown web ribbon across the center (I used my finger and Tacky Glue to dab some glue on the back of the ribbon). Cut 4 1/2" x 3" of light brown and print the greeting in the center. To do this, I use a technique called computer journaling: Type up your chosen greeting and print it on the page with plenty of room around it (in Word, it helps to insert a text box so the words are easily moved wherever you want on the page). Place the printed page over a light source and align the light brown paper over the printed part to make sure it's centered. Use small pieces of Scotch tape to secure in place. Run through your printer, printing the exact same way, and the words will land on the light brown paper. Trace a Bracket Sign around the greeting and cut out. Ink edges using Timber Brown StazOn® and a cosmetic sponge. Mat on green and mat again on metallic gold paper. Foam tape to the card 3/8" from the top and 1/4" from the right. Place copper Dazzles™ along the top and in the corners of the label as shown. Place small branch Dazzles™ on either side of the greeting. Tie a bow with 2 pieces of brown twine together and Glue to the bottom right of the greeting with Zots™. Assemble the compass rose paper tole piece and foam tape 1/2" from the bottom and left edges. Place arrows going across the bottom of the card pointing to the right. If you need to make an arrow shorter to fit, you can do so by cutting off the arrowhead and placing it farther down the arrow, then trimming any excess.
For the inside: Cover the inside with leaves paper. Glue 6 1/2" x 2 1/2" of wood grain across the card 1" from the top. Trim narrow 1/16" strips of copper Dazzles™ material and place a strip above and below the brow piece. Print a greeting in the center of 5" x 2 1/2" of light brown paper. Trace a Victorian label around the greeting and cut out. Ink edges and mat on green, then mat again on gold. Foam tape 3/8" from the left and 2" from the bottom. Place copper Dazzles™ as shown. Glue a sheer orange bow to the right of the sentiment, as shown. Place one brown Dazzles™ swirl to the right of the bow.
