Wonderful Day Card
For the Front: Place the card with the fold on the top. Cut a 6"x4 1/4" piece of Mirage black floral paper and emboss using the Swirl Frame Embossing Folder and your die cutting/embossing machine. Ink your Gold StazOn® ink pad and dab it lightly with a cosmetic sponge. Swipe very lightly all over the top of the embossed design with the sponge so that the gold hits the raised areas. Dab a tiny bit of glue stick onto the corners of the piece and tack down to the center of the card (so as to keep it in place but still be removable). Open the card and place it on your cutting mat. Carefully cut out the curved frame shape on the outermost line, going through both layers. Remove the embossed paper. Using Zots™ in the corners, attach 5 1/2"x3 1/2" clear acetate over the opening on the front of the card. Glue the embossed piece to the card, lining up the openings. Glue 1/4" wide black metallic ribbon on the 4 outside edges of the card using Tacky Glue. Glue 1/8" wide pink grosgrain ribbon around the card, just inside the black metallic ribbon.
Stamp "Wishing You A Wonderful Day" onto Mirage pink paper and cut around, leaving a 1/16" border. Mat on Mirage black paper, leaving a 1/16" border. Set aside until you have finished the inside (it's easier to line up once you glue the inside greeting).
For the inside: Cover with Mirage pink paper and ink the edges black. Cut 6"x4 1/4” black cardstock and emboss using the Swirl Frame Embossing Folder. Use the same inking technique as the front. Cut 6"x4 1/4" Mirage yellow and red papers and emboss both with the Swirl Frame folder. Cut around the outer curved frame on the red piece, and cut around the inner frame on the yellow piece then glue together. Stamp small black flourishes as shown.
To make a mask: stamp the "Wishing You" greeting on a piece of scrap paper. Cut around the words inside the oval. Place this oval onto Mirage pink paper. Ink the stamp and carefully stamp over the mask, creating an empty oval. Ink “Happy and stamp inside the oval. Ink “Birthday” and stamp as shown. Glue to the center of the yellow piece.
Close the card. Take the front oval "Wonderful Day" piece, line it up covering the inside greeting, and glue it to the acetate window.
