Get Well Soon Card

For the front: Place your card with the fold on the top. Cut postcard paper to fit exactly the front of your card. Ink the edges heavily using a cosmetic sponge and Timber Brown StazOn®,; to get that shaded, soft feathered look. Cut the largest label shape from green watercolor, ink edges, and mat on pink textured iridescent paper, leaving a 1/16" border. Glue to the card 1" from the left and 1/2" from the top. Stamp the second largest label stamp onto pink/purple watercolor with brown Stazon. Use the matching die to cut it out. If desired, add more inking around the edges. Mat on yellow iridescent paper with a 1/16" border. Stamp "Get Well Soon" in the center. Cut out 6 swirls from pink iridescent paper and arrange them around the greeting as shown. Glue down with small dots of liquid glue (I used Tacky glue). Stamp and cut a dragonfly on teal watercolor and mat on yellow iridescent paper with a 1/16" border. Foam tape to the upper right of the greeting as shown. Trim off any paper that extends beyond the background paper (i.e., the largest label die-cut). Tie a bow with wide purple crepe ribbon and loosen the center knot. Thread about 8" of the same ribbon through the back of the knot, then tighten the bow up again and adjust as desired. Cut the ends of the bow in a V. Place a 3-D Zot™ behind the center knot and attach it to the card about 1 3/4" from the left and 1 1/2" from the bottom. Wrap the ends of the straight ribbon (threaded through the middle knot) to the back of the background paper, and glue or tape to the back. Finally, glue your whole finished piece to the front of your card.

For the inside: Cut gold herringbone paper the size of the inside of your card (leave about 1/8" white space between the fold and the paper). Ink all the edges as done on the front, then glue to the inside of the card. Cut and ink a large label from green watercolor and glue 1/2" from the bottom and 1 1/4" from the right. Cut a flourish from yellow iridescent paper and glue to the right point of the label, as shown. Add your personalized greeting before delivering to your recipient!
