Window View Friendship Window Card

Instructions:

1. For the card front: Place the card with the fold on the left. Cut 4¼"x6" Window View tan boards cardstock and mat it on brown cardstock with ⅛" borders. Glue it centered on the front. Measure 1⅛" down from the card top, then cut a 2"x2" window through all the layers. 

2. Cut 4½"x⅞" Window View colorful boards cardstock and mat the long edges on brown cardstock with 1/16" borders. Place a border Dazzles™ near the lower edge, trimming the excess. Glue it to the front, 1" from the card bottom. Cut out the “your friendship matters…” label and mat it on tan cardstock with ⅛" borders, then on brown cardstock with 1/16" borders. Foam tape it to the front as shown.

3. Use the markers to color the shutters on the 3½"x2¼" chipboard window, leaving the window area white. Color the branches with the green markers and the bird shown with blue and orange markers.

4. Cut 2⅛"x2⅛" acetate and glue it to the back of the chipboard window. Glue the window over the opening in the card front. Glue two chipboard branches extending over the top of the window and one over the label. Glue the bird to the label, then glue posies and a leaf to the front as shown.

5. For the inside: Cut 5"x3½" Window View blue boards cardstock with flowers along the bottom. Place a border Dazzles™ near the lower edge, trimming the excess. Mat the long edges on light blue cardstock with ¼" borders, then glue it to the inside, ½" from the top.

6. Cut the vase of flowers from the Window View colorful boards cardstock and to 2⅛"x2⅛". Mat it on light green cardstock with ⅛" borders. Glue it to the inside so it’s centered behind the window when the card is closed. Cut out the “thinking of you” label and mat it on light green cardstock with very narrow borders. Mat it on medium green cardstock with ⅛" borders, then glue it as shown.
