What a Happy Day
Place the Mirage red paper with the flower border at the bottom. Ink the edges of 8”x4¾” Mirage blue/yellow tile paper and mat with black cardstock, leaving 1/4” borders. Glue to the red border paper, 1½” from the right and 1” from the top.
Mat 6”x4” photo with Mirage aqua paper, leaving a 1/8” border. Ink the edges black. Apply FlitterGlu to the surface of a Blending Tool pad and pounce glue over the Butterflies border stamp, mounted on an acrylic block. Stamp the border 1 and 1/3 times above the bottom edges of black cardstock. Gently place sheets of Black Variegated Metal Leaf directly on the glue stamped image using your fingers. Burnish the Metal Leaf while covered with wax paper or acetate. Remove covering and gently polish away excess Metal Leaf from the stamped image using a Scoochy Pad in a very light circular motion. Mat the photo with the black cardstock, leaving a 1/8” border on the top and sides and 7/8” bottom. Glue the matted photo centered on the blue/yellow tile mat as shown. Use ¾” wide Mirage aqua ribbon to make a bow and Zot to the right side of the Metal Leaf border as shown.
Butterfly Borders: FlitterGlu stamp four medium and 2 small Butterfly images on black cardstock. Apply Metal Leaf as in step 2 and cut out around each image. Stamp black swirl stamps on each side of the mat as shown and Zot medium and 1 small butterfly bodies and foam tape the wings as shown. Stamp tiny black butterflies among the swirls as shown.
FlitterGlu stamp “What a Happy Day” on black cardstock and Metal Leaf as in step 2. Cut to 2¾”x1½” and mat with Mirage aqua paper. Ink the edges and foam tape the rectangle to the bottom left side of the page. Foam tape the remaining small Metal Leaf butterfly to the top right corner as shown.
