For the card front: Crease the card’s fold firmly, then turn it inside out and crease the fold firmly again. Close the card and place it with the fold at the top. Cut 6¼"x4¾" white orchid rice paper and glue it centered on the front. Cut out the Orchid & Cats sleeping cat rectangular cutout and mat it on tan cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue it to the front, 1" from the left edge.
Cut the Orchid & Cats paw print border to 6¼"x 5/8" and mat the long edges on tan cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue it to the front, overlapping the bottom of the cat cutout.
Cut out the Orchid & Cats yellow orchid circle cutout and ink the edges. Stamp “time spent with cats…” on it, then foam tape the circle to the upper right. Cut out an aqua and a side flying yellow butterfly. Foam tape both to the front as shown.
For the inside: Open the card so it’s inside out and place it with the fold at the top. Cut 6¼"x2" white cardstock and score it lengthwise every ½". Crease the center score in a mountain fold and the two outer scores in valley folds.
Place 2-sided tape on the back of one panel next to the center score and adhere those two center panels together. Place 2-sided tape on the backs of the two outer panels. Remove the tape backing on one panel and adhere to the inside front, aligning the fold on the panel with the fold of the card. Remove the tape backing on the other outer panel and adhere it to the inside back so the center panels of the mechanism extend above the card fold.
Cut 6¼"x4¾" white orchid rice paper and glue it to the inside front, overlapping the edges of the mechanism flap. Cut 6½"x 7/8" Orchid & Cats striped paper and glue it to cover the mechanism flap on the inside back.
Cut a 6¼" length of the Orchid & Cats ribbon cutout and glue it along the front of the mechanism. Cut out the three cat cutouts shown, then trace them onto white cardstock and cut those out.
