Wisdom Whispers Card
Front: Place your card with the fold on the left and cover with On Butterfly Wings border paper. Use the Diamond Metal Plate embossing folder to emboss 5 7/8”x4 ¼” On Butterfly Wings brown dot paper. Use the cosmetic sponge to ink the raised areas with Dark Brown ink. Cut two 5"x1 1/4" pieces from your embossed paper. Tear one long edge of each strip so that it is about 1" tall on each side and about 1/2" tall in the center (these will frame the owl on the card, as shown). Set the strips aside.
Cut 5"x3 1/4" brown cardstock. Peel off the flying owl Dazzle, and remove some of the stickiness by placing and removing it from fabric or your skin. Place it centered on the brown cardstock. Sponge VersaMark™ ink all over the owl and surrounding cardstock. Carefully peel off the owl without touching the area underneath it. Sprinkle with Rose Opaque and Zing! Gold Glitter embossing powders, and shake off the excess. Set with a heat gun. Glue the piece to the card, 1" from the top. Glue the two embossed brown strips from Step 1 above and below the owl, as shown. Use Zips™ to adhere cream twill ribbon along the top edge of the upper brown embossed strip, and along the bottom edge of the lower strip. Tie a bow with black sheer dot ribbon. Cut a 6" piece of the same ribbon and thread through the back of the knot in the bow. Adjust the bow as necessary, positioning it toward the right end. Use Zips™ to attach to the card, slightly overlapping the bottom twill strip, and trim any excess ribbon. Place "Wisdom Whispers" Dazzles™ below the bow as shown. Place 6 feathers onto On Butterfly Wings pink floral paper and cut close around the Dazzles™ edge. Glue 2 just under the knot of the bow, and the other 4 along the bottom of the card, as shown.
Inside: Glue 5"x1 1/2" of On Butterfly Wings tan embellished border paper along the top. Cut a 5"x1" strip of the brown embossed piece and tear the bottom edge. Glue the top straight edge even with the bottom of the tan paper. Back an owl with pink floral paper and glue to the top right corner. Place an arrow in the upper left and bottom right, as shown.
