Place card with the fold on the left. Cut a 5”x6 ½” piece of red foil and run it through the heart corrugator vertically. Cut a 6 ½” piece of sheer black dot ribbon and place it across the bottom of the red foil, 1 ½” from the bottom. Wrap the ends around the back of the foil piece and tape them to the back.
Punch a 1 11/16” circle from white cardstock using the circle punch. Mat onto black cardstock, leaving a 1/16” border. Punch a 1/8” hole in the top of the circle. Stamp “tweet, tweet” at the top and bottom of the circle and stamp a heart in the middle. Fill in the heart with red Stickles and let dry. String 9” of ribbon through the hole in the top of the circle tag. Tie the tag around the horizontal piece of ribbon towards the right side and tie a small bow. Trim the ends. Glue the foil down to the card front.
Cut a 4”x2 ½” piece of clear overlay. Stamp a bird on the left half of the overlay with black StazOn and let dry. Turn the overlay over and stamp another bird on the other half, facing the first bird. Let dry. Use the small paintbrush and red acrylic paint to fill in the body of one of the birds. Paint the other bird light blue. Fill in the whites of the eyes with a dot of white paint. Fill in the flowers with Mermaid and red Stickles and let dry completely. Put on another coat of acrylic if necessary. After it is dry, turn the overlay over. Cut a 4”x2 ½” piece of white cardstock. Place the overlay on top of the cardstock and punch a 1/8” hole in each corner, about ¼” in from the edges. Insert a red brad in each hole, attaching the overlay to the white cardstock. Cut a 4 ¼”x2 ¾” piece of black cardstock. Foam tape the bird piece centered onto the black cardstock, then glue the whole piece to the red foil, centered, 1” from the top.
Inside the card: Cut a 5”x3” piece of red foil. Run it through the heart corrugator and glue it to the card, 1 ½” from the bottom. Cut a 4”x2 ¼” piece of clear overlay and use the technique in step 3 to create the two birds. When the paint is dry, apply a small amount of Aleene’s Tacky Glue to the backs of the birds and place on the card near the bottom. Make another circle tag like the one on the front. Stamp a small flower over the 1/8” hole at the top. Stamp “tweet, tweet” near the top and write “you’re sweet” under it. Stamp a small heart at the bottom and fill in with red Stickles. Let dry. Tie a knot in the top of the circle tag with 6” of sheer black dot ribbon. Foam tape the tag centered on the card, 1 ½” from the top.
