Card front: Use a Center Step card as your base. Mat a 4¼”x3¾” Charleston yellow paper on a Charleston Red paper with 1/16” borders. Glue to a 4½”x4½” Charleston blue paper. Glue centered on the center card panel. Use the Retractable knife and mat to cut three 1”x3” windows in the center panel, starting ½” from the left, and ½” from the top. Leave ½” between each window. Use black thin line Dazzles™ to outline each of the windows.
Glue a 6½”x1” Charleston blue paper on the bottom border. Cut a 6½”x1¼” Charleston arch paper. Cut around the top of the arches, leaving the bottom straight. Glue 1/8” from the bottom, with the arches extending above the border.
Stamp Happy Birthday in VersaMark™ ink on a 4”x1/2” Charleston yellow paper. Dust with black embossing powder. Tap off the excess. Heat with a heat tool. Mat on Charleston blue paper, with 1/16” borders. Foam tape centered on the bottom panel. Zot a ribbon knot on the center.
Cut two 1”x4” Charleston green papers. Stamp a small “dangles” stamp in VersaMark™ ink at the top of each piece. Dust with black embossing powder. Tap off the excess. Heat with a heat tool. Glue one on each side panel. Ink all of the outside edges of the card with Tuxedo Black ink.
Cut three 1½”x3½” clear heat resistant acetate pieces. Ink one of the stained glass stamps with VersaMark™ ink, and stamp centered on the acetate. Dust with black embossing powder. Tap off the excess, and heat with a heat tool. Repeat with the last two stamps, and acetate. Color the embossed pieces with spectrum noir pens DR5, DG3, TB6, GB8. Color three times to give a deep color. Cut three ¾”x2¾” glitter sheets. Peel off the back and stick to the back of each stained glass window. Trim the acetate to 1¼”x3¼”. Glue one behind each window on the card front.
Stamp the medium butterfly in VersaMark™ ink on clear acetate. Heat emboss with black embossing powder. Color with Spectrum Noir pens. Place a piece of clear glitter sheet on the back. Cut close to the stamped edge. Fold the wings up, and glue just the body on the right panel.
Card inside: Cut a 6½”x1½” Charleston arches paper. Cut around the arches at the top, and leave the bottom straight. Glue to the bottom of the card.
