Card front: Place a blank card with the fold on your left. Cover with yellow cardstock.
Use the notched tag Color Me™ card topper as your base. Use the RD4 pen to color the scallop border, on the card and the word tag. Use YO3 to color the solid border on the card, and PR4 to color the solid border on the notched tag and the word tag. To color the flowers in a faded style, use PR4 for the largest flower. Use the brush tip and place it in the mixing chamber for about 30 seconds. Start at the inside, and work to the outside. Take sweeps of the pen, across the petal you are working on. Go back and forth, until you begin to see color. Work your way down the petal until you are coloring the widest part of the petal with the darkest color. (It helps to practice a bit on a scrap). When you reach the end of a petal, place the pen back in the mixing chamber, and repeat the process. You can vary your times, and go back over the petals to achieve the color you want. Change the pattern for the different flowers. Sometimes start in the center; sometimes start on the outside, so the color is more intense in the center. I used colors: BL3, PK3, YG3, NU1, & RD4. Use YO3 to color the middle of the word tag. Start at the left, and color to the right, so the color becomes more intense on the right.
Cut close to the scallop edge of the Color Me&trade,; and glue to the card front. Cut close to the word tag edge, and foam tape to the right side.
Card inside: Mat a 4½”x3” yellow cardstock, on red cardstock with 1/8” borders. Color an oval word tag with PK3 & YO3, using the above method. Color a flower with BL3. Cut close to the edges. Glue the tag in the center, and foam tape the flower to the left of the tag. Fold a 4” ribbon in half and knot a small loop at the top. Zot™ onto the left side of the word tag.
