For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top and trim it to 5” square. Cut a 4¾” square of the blue/lavender/yellow border paper, positioning the border as shown.
Cut two 6” x 2” strips of the green whitewash cardstock. Tear one long edge on each, revealing the green core. Glue them along the bottom edge of the border piece and trim the ends even. Glue the border piece centered on the card front.
Tape the stencil to the cutting mat. Cut a 4½” square of light blue whitewash cardstock and tape it over the stencil, white side down. Use the stylus to dry-emboss the design into the cardstock. Be sure to also rub around the outer edge of the egg. (Because the stencil and paper are taped in place, it’s easy to lift up your paper to make sure you’ve embossed all the designs without moving the cardstock out of place.)
Cut out the stenciled egg and glue it to the card front, tucked under the lower piece of torn cardstock and angled as shown. Punch butterflies from the pink, yellow, and light blue cardstock. Punch all of them twice so you have doubles of all the wings. Sand all the wings and four bodies, then construct two butterflies for the card front. Glue them in place.
Print the greeting in black on mint green background. Mat it on blue textured paper, then on white. Glue it at the upper right as shown.
For the inside: Cut a 4¾” square of the mint dotted paper and glue it centered on the inside back. Print the sentiment in black on mint, then mat it on blue texture. Cut a 4” x 2½” piece of lavender cardstock and sand the edges. Mat it on lavender textured paper, then glue the sentiment in the center.
Glue the constructed sentiment to the inside back. Use the leftover butterfly pieces to construct two more butterflies and glue them in place.
