For the card front: Place the card with the fold on the left. Cut it to 5” square. Cut a piece of black to cover the front, but don’t glue it yet. Cut a 4¾” square piece of the lime/blue words paper and glue it centered on the black.
Use the template to trace a 4” circle onto the teal mesh paper and cut it out. Glue it to the black/teal cardstock and trim around the edge with the scalloping scissors. Sand the cardstock edges until the teal shows. Glue the circle centered on the words piece.
Print “A little birdie told me…” in black on the teal textured paper. Cut it to 3” x ½” with ½” extra on the left end. Mat it on black, then position it near the bottom of the words paper. Fold the excess to the back and glue the piece in place, tucking the right end under the circle scallops. Glue the constructed front onto the blank card.
Trace and cut the bird body and wings from teal textured, the beak and feet from orange, and the branch from brown paper. Add Humungo adhesive to the body and wing. Sprinkle flocking over both pieces, then press and scrub the flocking into the adhesive firmly. Shake off the excess, then mat both pieces on black. Glue the pieces in place on the card front.
For the inside: Cut a 5” x 2½” piece of the words paper. Add a scalloped strip of the teal/black cardstock as matting on the upper edge. Sand the edges, then glue the piece to the inside back as shown.
Cut a quarter-circle from the teal mesh paper, following the guidelines on the template for a 7” circle. Mat it on the black/teal cardstock and sand the edges. Glue it as shown. Print the sentiment in black on teal textured paper. Mat it on black, then glue it centered on the inside back.
