Butterflies & Ferns Sympathy Card
For the card front: Turn the card with the fold on the left. Cut 4¾"x6¼" Happy Days green circles paper and glue centered on the front. Cut out the Color Me™ large fern topper and place on a protected surface. Use the pens to color the topper. Color the fern with DG2 and shade with DG4 (I color about 2-3" at a time, then add in the darker shading color while the light ink is wet so the two colors blend together, much like watercolors). Use CT1 for the inner frame and OR1 for the outer frame. Glue the topper centered on the front.
Cut out the Color Me™ “with sympathy” label and color the inside with CT1. Color the ends with GB5, then mat on cardstock with 1/16" borders. Foam tape to the front at the upper right. Color two wood butterflies with GB5, then color the centers with OR1. Use clear tape to secure the butterflies to the front as shown, then place rhinestones on the bodies.
For the inside: Cut 3½"x4½" Happy Days yellow paper and mat on cardstock with 1/16" borders, then glue to the inside at the upper right. Cut out the Color Me™ “just for you” label. Color the inside with CT1, the inner frame with DG2, and the outer frame with OR1. Mat on cardstock with 1/16" borders, then glue to the yellow paper near the upper right corner.
Cut out a Color Me™ butterfly with a narrow white edge. Color the edge with OR1 and the wings with CT2. Foam tape to the inside as shown and place a rhinestone on its body.
Cut out the Color Me™ “with sympathy” label and color the inside with CT1. Color the ends with GB5, then mat on cardstock with 1/16" borders. Foam tape to the front at the upper right. Color two wood butterflies with GB5, then color the centers with OR1. Use clear tape to secure the butterflies to the front as shown, then place rhinestones on the bodies.
