Elegant Roses Birthday Card
For the card front: Turn the card with the fold at the top. Cut 6¼"x4¾" Gold paper and glue centered on the front. Cut 6"x4½" cardstock and 5¼"x3¾" Gold paper, then glue the paper centered on the cardstock. Wrap a 6½" crepe ribbon across the paper and cardstock, 5/8" from the bottom, and glue the ends to the back. Glue the cardstock centered on the front.
Stamp the smallest rose twice on cardstock and the medium rose once. Cover with embossing powder, tap off the excess, and heat to melt. Stamp and emboss two 1¼" butterflies, then cut out all the roses and the butterflies, leaving a narrow white edge on each.
Glue a small rose near the each end of the card with the right rose overlapping the ribbon. Foam tape the medium rose in the center, overlapping the small roses and ribbon. Use double-sided tape on the bodies and foam tape on the wings to attach the butterflies as shown.
Make a 4-loop bow with the crepe ribbon and tie the center with thread. Glue to the first ribbon, 1½" from the left card edge. Tie a shoestring bow with the sheer ribbon and glue to the crepe bow center.
For the inside: Cut 4¼"x3¼" Gold paper and wrap a 6" sheer ribbon across it, 2 3/8" from the bottom, gluing the ends to the back. Glue the paper centered on the inside. Die cut a 2½"x1½" label and a round tag from cardstock. Stamp and emboss “happy” on the tag and “birthday” on the label.
