Paper Birthday Basket
For the basket: Cut 10"x10" Chalkboard black floral paper and score 3" and 7" from the left edge. Turn the cardstock 90 degrees and repeat the scoring, creating 3" squares on the corners. Within each corner square, score from the point where the score lines cross out to the paper corner.
Fold all the vertical and horizontal scores in valley folds and the diagonal scores in mountain folds. Punch a hole in each corner, positioning it on the diagonal score line, 3/8" from the corner. Bring all four corners together in the center to create the basket. To secure the basket, thread the ribbon through all the holes, carefully pull the corners together, and tie a bow.
To decorate the basket: Cut four 4"x1½" Chalkboard white dotted papers and four 4"x 5/8" green tapestry papers. Glue a green strip to each dotted paper, ¾" from the long upper edge. Punch four 5"x¾" scalloped borders, then glue as 3/16" mats along the lower edges of the dotted papers. Place two Dazzles™ borders on each paper as shown, then glue a paper to each basket side, aligning the upper edges.
Trace and cut the tag from Chalkboard black border paper with the border in the lower right corner. Stamp “hope your birthday…” in the center, then cover with embossing powder. Tap off the excess and heat to melt. Mat on peach cardstock with 1/16" borders, then insert a 5/8" brad in the top. Mat on black cardstock with 1/32" borders, then insert the flower embellie in the lower left corner. Glue to the basket as shown.
