Happy Birthday
Place your blank card with the fold at the left. Cut a 5”x6 1/2" piece of double sided adhesive. Remove the backing from 1 side and place it on the card front. Cut a 5”x2” rectangle from each of the blue, yellow, and green colored transparent sheets. Align the blue piece even with the top, the yellow piece across the center, and the green piece 1/2" from the bottom. Use the bone folder to burnish the transparent material to the adhesive. Place a 5”x6 1/2" piece of double sided adhesive on the transparent material. Sprinkle with Crystal Micro Glitter and burnish it into the adhesive with your fingers. Tap off the excess. Repeat until no more glitter will tap off. Burnish with the bone folder remove any air bubbles.
Cut a 5”x1/2” black cardstock strip and glue it even with the bottom of the card. Use the Viney Swirl Cutting Die and your die cutting machine to cut the shape from black cardstock. Zot™ the shape in place across the card front as shown. Ink the Greetings Dazzles™ “Happy Birthday” black and place centered across the bottom of the green/glittered section of the card.
Use the Butterfly cutting dies to die cut 1 each of the large, medium, and small butterflies from black cardstock. Cut a piece of blue transparent material slightly larger than the large butterfly die cut. Cover the blue transparent material with double-sided adhesive. Place the large butterfly die cut on the adhesive and trim evenly around the edges of the butterfly. Sprinkle the exposed adhesive inside the butterfly with Crystal Micro Glitter. Burnish with your fingers and tap off the excess as before. Repeat for the medium butterfly using the green transparent sheet, and for the small butterfly using the blue transparent sheet. Foam tape the bodies of the large and medium sized butterflies overlapping the Viney Swirl die cut as shown.
Inside: Cut a 5”x2” double-sided adhesive and place it centered across the card. Align a 5”x2” green transparent material and align it with the adhesive and press in place. Use the bone folder to burnish it to ensure there are no air bubbles. Place a second 5”x2” piece of adhesive on the green transparent material. Sprinkle with Crystal Micro Glitter and burnish with your fingers. Tap off the excess. Repeat until no more glitter is removed. Cut a 5”x1/2” black cardstock and glue on the bottom of the green glittered rectangle. Ink the Greetings Dazzles™ “Celebrate!” black, then place on the green rectangle. Add the small butterfly as shown.
