Have a Groovy Birthday Card
With the fold at the left, cover the card front with yellow textured paper with words border at the bottom. Ink the edges black. Cut a 2 1/2" x 3 3/8" green textured rectangle and ink the edges. Stamp the lady image on scrap paper to create a mask. Cut loosely around the outside of the image, then cut just outside the edge of the hair that borders the face, cutting away the hair from the face.
Place the scrap paper image of the hair on the center of the green rectangle and secure it with a sticky note. Ink the stamp and check alignment of the face with the mask of the hair, then stamp the image onto the paper and the mask. Remove mask and let dry. Place mask off face over the face image. Add glue to the stamp using the glue pad. Check alignment of the stamp with the face image before stamping. Stamp, then remove the mask. Flock the stamped hair image. Let it dry thoroughly. Mat on orange textured paper and ink the edges. Glue matted rectangle to the card front, 1/4" from the top and 1/8" from the left side.
Cut out words and blank paper ribbon fragments. Ink edges and mat as shown. Computer print or write "Have a" on the blue paper fragment, and "Birthday!" on the orange fragment. Arrange on the card front to the right of the photo. Stamp small flowers at the top and bottom of the words as shown.
Inside the card: Cut a 2 1/4"x1 5/8" green textured rectangle, ink the edges, and mat on orange leaving a 1/8" border. Ink the edges. Write or computer print "To one of my coolest friends!" on the green rectangle, then stamp two flowers beneath the words. Glue centered to the inside. Glue art squares beneath word block as shown.
