Inside Surprise Triple Panel Card
Designer’s Note: This pop-up mechanism is perfect for a 3-panel card, just as long as there is enough room for the pop-up to be hidden inside two of the panels. This particular card utilizes two blank cards, making it easy to construct.
Instructions:
1. For the card: Open one card and trim ½" off the right front edge. Close it and place it with the fold on the left. Open a second card and place it horizontally. Cut it vertically ½" past the center score. Crease the score in a mountain fold and place sticky tape on the inside of the ½" tab. Attach the tab to the back of the first card along the right edge. Wrap the second card over the front of the first card.
2. For the front: Cut 6¼"x4¾" Foggy Forest fox cardstock with the fox at the lower right. Place silver straight line Dazzles™ near the upper and lower edges as shown, trimming the excess. Wrap ⅛" grosgrain ribbon across the upper left corner and glue the ends to the back. Tie another ribbon onto the first as shown, then glue the cardstock centered on the front. Place silver “happy thoughts” on the mountain tag die-cut, then glue it extending from under the knot.
3. For the first inside panel: Cut 4¼"x6¼" Foggy Forest trees & mountains cardstock and glue it centered on the panel. Foam tape the “happy birthday” cutout near the top. Place silver straight line Dazzles™ near the upper and lower edges of the panel and near the lower edge of the cutout, trimming the excess.
4. For the remaining inside panels: Cut three Foggy Forest sheet from the gray watercolored tree cardstocks: one 4"x6" for the left panel, one 5"x6" for the center panel, and one 4½"x6" for the right panel. Place silver straight line Dazzles™ near the upper and lower edges, trimming the excess, then glue the cardstocks to the panels.
5. Follow the Inside Surprise die package directions to die cut the mechanism from solid blue cardstock and use sticky tape to attach the mechanism to the inside as directed. Die cut the large label from the same blue cardstock and use sticky tape to attach it to the mechanism. Glue the “enjoy your day” cutout to the label.
6. Place silver “make a wish” Dazzles™ on the green arrow cutout and glue it to the left panel. Cut the “let’s celebrate” label apart between the words, then glue the pieces to the inside as shown. Glue the oval jar cutout overlapping it on the right panel.
