Background: Using brown cardstock as your background, stamp the picket fence with white StazOn® ¼” from each edge, all around. Stamp clouds in the top corners, a tree, dog and doghouse at the bottom left and a lamppost and bike at the bottom right, as shown. Color in the clouds with a light blue pencil, then blend with the waterbrush.
Photo: Mat a 5”x7” photo on brown cardstock with a 1/8” border on the top and sides, and a 1 ¼” border on the bottom. Glue centered on the bottom of 8 ¼”x6 7/8” Kraft cardstock. Save for later.
Draw a light pencil line ¼” from the bottom of 8 ¼”x3” Kraft cardstock. Swipe the cardstock with the perfect pouch, then working with one image at a time, stamp a row of houses 1/8” apart along the pencil line with StazOn®,; dust with embossing powder and set with the heat gun.
Color in the houses with the AquaBlend pencils, using the light color overall first. Use a light touch with the pencil at first, then get progressively heavier until you have a burnished layer of pencil color. Add layers of color with the darker color shades (using all blues, or all greens, etc.) around the inner edges of the houses. Use the darker colors, and complimentary colors for the fine details of the houses. Then blend with the water brush, moving from dark areas to light areas and smoothing the line work. Repeat the layering and blending process if necessary to make more vibrant colors.
Cut around the top edges of the houses, leaving a 1/8” border. Foam tape the strip along the bottom edge of the photo matting. Wrap ¼” blue sheer ribbon across opposite corners of the piece, tying a bow at the top right, as shown. Glue the piece centered on your background.
