Technique – Re-embossing Color Me™: Swipe the front of the large clock face Color Me™ card topper with the Perfect Printing Pouch to keep static down. Using the heat gun, heat one area of the card topper embossing at a time, sprinkle with sticky embossing powder while warm and shake off the excess. Continue for the entire piece. Quickly heat the entire piece again to set the sticky embossing powder, then sprinkle random areas with copper and chestnut embossing powders (I used copper near the center and on the gears and left some areas black), shaking off the excess. Heat to set the powders, being careful not to scorch the paper.
Use the dark blue pencils around the large outer ring of the clock, teal around the inner ring, greys on the gears, clock hands, and thin outer ring. Blend with the water brush, moving from dark areas to light areas. Repeat the layering and blending process if necessary to make vibrant colors.
Card front: Place a blank card with the fold on your left and glue your card topper in place, leaving the left side loose. Cut out the long thin label (including the left loop hole) and the 2”x1 1/8” label and repeat the re-embossing and coloring process for both, leaving them white on the right ends (save the 2” label for the inside). Foam tape the long label over the edge at the bottom right area, cutting even with the right side, as shown. Place “You make me…” Dazzles™ on the center (using the tiny centers from the e’s in the word “celebrate” for the ellipses). Glue one end of a short length of wide brown crepe ribbon under the left side of the topper, gluing the topper edge in place. Place the other end through the label hole and secure with a ¼” sheer bow. Add nailheads, as shown.
Card inside: Repeat the re-embossing and coloring process for two small extra artwork gears and another large clock face topper, focusing only on the center clock face. Cut out the center clock and glue off the bottom edge of your card with the left edge along the fold and trim even with the bottom of your card.
