Cardinal Postage Stamp Card
Place your card with the fold on the left. Cover with poinsettia border paper with “lace” borders on left and lower edges. Place zig-zag and thin line Dazzles™ on left and lower edges. Cut a 2 1/2” square of Kraft cardstock in half, corner to corner. Place on two corners. Ink edges brown.
Use your template to trace 5 wavy lines on vellum. Using VersaMark&trade,; stamp the cardinal on the lines. Apply gold embossing powder, shake off excess and emboss with heat tool. Stamp “Joyous Season” and small scroll above cardinal. Emboss in black. Trim to 2 3/8”x2 7/8” and apply stamp border Dazzles™ around edges. Turn over and apply Smooch® inks to cardinal. Let dry. Cut 2 5/8”x3 1/4” red scroll paper. Mat on black cardstock with a 1/16” border. Cut a window from the center with a 1/4” border. Glue vellum “stamp” to front of “window.” Foam tape to card.
For the inside: Cover with green poinsettia paper with “lace” border on lower edge. Place zig-zag and thin line Dazzles™ on lower edge. Place two thin line Dazzles™ 3/4” and 2” from top edge of card. Using VersaMark&trade,; stamp the cardinal on the lower right corner. Emboss in gold.
On a 3”x1 1/2” vellum paper stamp the cardinal’s head on the left, emboss in gold. Stamp “Season’s Greetings” and emboss in black. Mat a 3”x1 5/8” red paper on black cardstock with 1/16” border. Cut a window from the center with a 1/4” border. Glue vellum text to back of “window.” Foam tape to card. Tie a small bow with twine and place on corner.
Using VersaMark&trade,; stamp “Joyous Season” on 1”x1/2” vellum. Emboss in black. Place thin scallop Dazzles™ on top and lower edges. Foam tape to card. Place a 24” length of twine along inside fold and tie a bow on the front of the card.
