Merry Christmas Card
Front: Place your card with the fold at the top. Cover the card with Christmas Cheer green/black diamonds paper and ink the edges black.
Place a piece of Christmas Cheer black scuffed paper (slightly larger than the embossing folder) inside the Merry Christmas Embossing Folder and run it through your machine to emboss so the image is raised on the black side of the paper. Open the folder and with the paper still in place, press the VersaMark™ ink pad direct-to-paper on the embossed image, making sure the entire image is covered with the ink. Remove the paper and place on scrap paper. Sprinkle with the Ultra High Silver embossing powder and tap off the excess. Use the small paintbrush to remove excess powder from around the image. Use the heat gun to emboss the image. Add more VersaMark™ ink or embossing powder if needed. Trim the paper into a 5 3/8”x3 3/4" rectangle.
Cut a 5 3/4"x4” white cardstock. Ink the outer 1/2" around the edges with VersaMark™ and emboss it silver. Leave some of the “orange peel” look to the embossed areas for texture. Add Ultra Clear Tape to the back of the embossed paper and place it centered on the white/silver cardstock, then press in place. Mat on Christmas Cheer red/ivory dots paper with 1/8” borders. Ink the edges black. Glue centered on the card front.
Use Seafoam Stickles™ to fill in the holly leaves, using the tip of your knife to spread it in the spaces. Use Red Stickles™ to fill in the holly berries and banner in the same manner. Let dry.
Glue or tape 3/8” wide red glitter ribbon across the upper left and lower right corners of the card, trimming excess evenly. Tie a red bow. Add a piece of red glitter ribbon around the center knot, securing with tape or Zots™ adhesive dots. Zot™ the bow on the upper left corner as shown.
Inside: Cut a “MAY YOUR DAYS BE MERRY & BRIGHT” rectangle from Christmas Cheer black/white scuffed sentiments paper. Mat on Christmas Cheer red/ivory dots paper with 1/16” borders. Ink the edges black. Cut a 2 3/4"x2” white cardstock. Emboss the edges silver as you did for the mat on the front. Tape the matted rectangle centered on the white/silver cardstock. Mat on Christmas Cheer red/ivory dots paper with 1/16” borders. Ink the edges black. Cut a 3 1/2"x2 3/4" Christmas Cheer green/black diamonds paper and ink the edges black. Glue red glitter ribbon across the center, trimming edges evenly. Glue the matted rectangle centered on the paper, and glue to the card center.
