Slider Box
Cut a 3”x5” purple dot cardstock for the base. Cut a 8¼””x5” green leaf/purple flower border paper, keeping the border along the bottom for the box cover. Cut a 5½”x4” purple cardstock for the box. Cut one of the rectangles from the Majestic Rose page into a 3”x4 1/2” rectangle for the box bottom. Cut a 2”x4” green leaf border paper with the border on one short end for the tag. Round one end with a corner rounder. Cut a piece of the plastic bag that is 1”x10”.
Score the 5½”x4” purple cardstock (box) piece ½” on each edge. On both short ends, cut just to the horizontal score line. Fold all edges up into a box and secure by gluing the end flaps together.
Cut a 1”x½” notch in each end of the 3”x5” purple dot paper (base). Wrap the plastic bag strip loosely around the cardstock, between the notches so that it will slide easily. Tape ends together. Line up the bottom of the box with the edges of the paper base. Glue the box bottom to the plastic strip, only on one end. Turn the entire piece over so the open box is facing the table. Glue the bottom straight edge of the rounded tag piece to the plastic strip only (this will be the opposite end that you glued the box to). When you slide the tag, the box will slide the opposite way. Turn the whole piece back over so that the open box is facing up.
Use the 8 1/4”x5” border paper with the border at the bottom. This will be the box cover. Starting from the right side, score at 3/4&rdquo,; 1 1/2&rdquo,; 4 5/8&rdquo,; and 5 3/8”. Make all folds mountain folds. Start with the first 3” section face down. Place the whole box piece over this section, and glue only the corners of the notched piece to each corner of the face down box cover piece. Be careful not to glue the rounded tag. Leave room on each side so it can slide easily. Now fold the rest of the folds around the open box, and secure the last fold on the bottom.
Punch a hole in the end of the box that slides out. Insert both ends of a 6” ribbon and tie a knot inside the box. This will be your pull. When you pull the box, the tag will slide out the other end.
Glue the Majestic Rose rectangle to the inside bottom of the box. Foam tape the purple rose pieces to the top of the box cover. Glue “Thinking of You” to the box cover top. Glue “Best Wishes” to the rounded tag.
Fill the box with small candies or a gift card.
