Designer’s Note: Because the window is die cut through three layers of cardstock, you may have trouble cutting through all the layers with one pass through the die cutting machine. I ran mine through the die cutter several times; it didn’t quite cut all the way through, but it left a nice impression so I was able to easily cut the remaining area with a craft knife.
Instructions:
1. For the card front: Place the card with the fold on the left. Cut 4¼"x5¾" Christmas Scenes blue snowflake cardstock and mat it on Gold cardstock with ⅛" borders. Glue it centered on the front. Position the 2⅜"x2⅞" rectangle die on the front at the lower right and die cut a window through all the layers (see the note above).
2. Die cut a smooth frame from Gold cardstock using the 2⅜"x2⅞" die centered inside the 2⅞"x3½" die. Die cut a scalloped frame using the 2⅜"x2⅞" die inside the 2⅝"x3¼" scalloped die. Glue the scalloped frame on the smooth frame, then glue both around the window opening.
3. Cut out the white/blue “’tis the season” greeting and mat it on Gold cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue it centered near the card top. Die cut the Christmas Scenes gold lantern circle and a 2¼" scalloped circle from Gold cardstock. Glue the lantern to the scalloped circle, then foam tape it as shown.
4. For the inside: Cut 5"x4" Christmas Scenes white/blue snowflakes cardstock and mat the 5" edges on dark blue cardstock with ⅛" borders. Glue it centered across the inside. Mat one of the Gold rectangle die-cuts from inside the frames in step 2 on dark blue cardstock with ⅛" borders. Glue it to the inside so it’s centered in the window when the card is closed.
5. Cut out the Christmas Scenes gold decorations rectangle and foam tape it centered in the window. Cut a 4" and a 3½" blue snowflakes strip, each ½" wide. Cut a notch in one end of each, then glue them to the inside as shown. Cut out the “Merry Christmas to all” greeting and mat it on Gold cardstock with narrow borders. Glue it as shown.
