Shiny Skates Christmas Card
For the card front: Cut 4 7/8"x6 3/8" Metallic Silver paper and glue centered on the front. Cut 4½"x6" white cardstock. Load the brayer with Fawn ink and roll it across the inside front panel of the embossing folder to cover the surface.
Quickly clean the brayer, then load it with Splash ink and roll over the fawn ink. Place the cardstock in the folder, close it, and run it through the die cutter following the manufacturer’s directions for embossing.
Trim the embossed panel to 3 7/8"x5 5/8". Mat on white cardstock with 1/8" borders, then on black cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue centered on the front. Place black “Noel” Dazzles™ at the upper left with a 3/8" black snowflake on each side as shown.
Cut 3"x2¾" Snowflakes holographic paper and mat on black cardstock with 1/16" borders. Place the 3" Dazzles™ skate on silver Pearl paper and cut around the edges of the shoe portion. Remove the pearl paper backing and place the skate on the holographic paper, then place Dazzles™ snowflakes around it. Foam tape the skate to the front at the lower right. Place pearls on the snowflakes as shown.
For the inside: Cut 4½"x6" white cardstock. Load the brayer with Splash ink and roll it across the inside back surface of the embossing folder (over the raised snowflakes). Place the paper in the folder and emboss as before.
Cut a 2 5/8"x5 5/8" embossed snowflakes panel and mat it on black cardstock with 1/16" borders, then on metallic silver paper with 1/8" borders. Glue near the right edge. Cut 2 7/8"x1¾" Snowflakes holographic paper and mat on black cardstock with 1/16" borders. Place black “Merry Christmas” Dazzles™ on it, then glue to the inside, 1¾" from the bottom.
Back a 1 7/8" skate Dazzles™ with silver Pearl paper and adhere it overlapping the sentiment at the lower left. Back a hanging skates Dazzles™ with silver Pearl paper, then adhere it at the upper right. Place the remaining Dazzles™ and pearls as shown.
