Snowflakes & Butterflies Winter Card
For the card front: Place the card with the fold on the left. Cut 4 5/8"x6 1/8" Winter’s Butterfly purple snowflakes paper and mat it on navy cardstock with 1/16" borders. Wrap two 6" lavender ribbons across the paper 5/8" and 7/8" from the bottom, gluing the ends to the back. Glue the paper centered on the card front.
Photocopy the Clearly Creative butterfly sheet. Cut out the two butterflies in the largest square, then use both as patterns to cut them from patterned papers. Cut the large butterfly from Winter’s Garden purple paper and the small butterfly from dark blue paper.
Use tiny pieces of double-sided tape to attach the paper butterflies to the back of the acetate butterflies, aligning the edges. Back the square with Winter’s Butterfly light blue snowflakes paper, trimming off the excess. Mat the square on blue cardstock with 1/16" borders, then foam tape it to the front, ½" from the card top.
Trim the Clearly Creative “snowflakes are winter’s butterflies” sentiment to 2 7/8"x1 1/8", then back it with Winter’s Butterflies light blue snowflakes paper, trimming off the excess. Mat it on navy cardstock with very narrow borders, then foam tape it centered over the ribbons. Tie a lavender shoestring bow and glue it just left of the sentiment. Place Dazzles™ as shown.
For the inside: Cut 4¼"x5½" Winter’s Butterfly ivory text paper and mat it on ivory cardstock with 1/16" borders. Wrap ivory ribbon across the panel, 1 5/8" from the top, and tie at the front, 1 7/8" from the right edge. Glue the panel centered on the inside.
Cut out the rectangular Clearly Creative butterfly panel. Cut out the matching butterflies from the copied sheet, then use as patterns to cut the same butterflies from Winter’s Butterfly green paper. Attach the butterflies behind the acetate butterflies, then back the panel with Winter's Butterfly ivory snowflakes paper, trimming the excess. Mat the panel on Winter’s Butterfly green paper with 1/8" borders, then glue it to the ivory text panel near the right edge, slipping it under the ribbon.
