Pop-Up Box Christmas Card
Instructions:
For the card front: Place a box card opened out flat on your work surface. Cut four 2¾"x2 7/8" each from Christmas Wonder red tapestry and black tapestry papers. Glue the red papers centered on the four lower panels and the black papers on the four upper panels.
Cut four 2¾"x½" Christmas Wonder black houndstooth papers and glue one across each red panel, ¼" from the bottom. Place a border Dazzles™ just above and one just below each houndstooth strip, trimming the excess.
Turn the card over. Cut four 2¾"x2 7/8" Christmas Wonder green tapestry papers and glue centered on the upper panels. Cut four 2¾"x½" black houndstooth papers and glue to the green papers, ¼" from the outer edges. Place a border Dazzles™ on each strip and one ¼" away from each strip as shown, trimming the excess.
Place double-sided tape on the tab along one end of the card and attach it to the inside of the opposite end, making sure the red and black panels are on the outside. Fold down the three upper flaps to determine the front of the card (the back panel isn’t scored and won’t fold).
Wrap and glue a 12" ribbon around the red panels, just above the border, and overlap the ends at the front. Tie a bow and glue over the ends. Stamp “season’s greetings” above the bow as shown. Fold down the upper flaps.
Die cut a 2½"x1½" label from Christmas Wonder ivory tapestry paper and stamp “Merry Christmas” on it. Mat on cardstock with 1/16" borders, then foam tape to the left green flap, extending off the right edge slightly.
Cut two 2¾"x 7/8" Christmas Wonder black tapestry papers and glue one to the center of two inner pieces (found in the package). Glue the pieces to the inside, following the package directions. Cut seven ¼"- 3/8" wide strips from the acetate found in the package.
Cut snowflakes from the Foiled Fancies sheet and decorate with jewel Dazzles™. Foam tape a 3" snowflake and glue a 7/8" snowflake to the front flap as shown. Glue a 2¼" snowflake to the upper back and foam tape a 1 5/8" snowflake just below and to the right. Glue a 2½" snowflake to the right flap, then glue three small snowflakes around the label on the left flap as shown.
Attach a snowflake to each acetate strip with double-sided tape, then arrange them to look as though they explode out of the box, attaching the opposite ends of the acetate to the inside pieces. Attach more snowflakes to the inner pieces extending upward to fill any empty areas.
