“Exploring Portland”
Backgrounds: For the left page: Trace the half of a 11 ½” Easy Scallop Frame onto the back of the patchwork paper. Cut out and mat with black cardstock, leaving a 1/16” border. Glue to the center of the textured metal page. Adhere lengths of Dazzles™ chain border sticker across the top edge of the ½ frame. For the right page: Trace the 11 ½” Scallop Frame onto the textured metal paper, cut out and mat with black cardstock, leaving a 1/8” border. Glue to the center of the patchwork paper. Mat a 12” x 4” strip of gray gears paper with a 12”x4 ½” strip of striped paper. Ink the long edges and glue across the center of the page.
Photos: For the left page: Mat a 6”x4” photo with brown cardstock, leaving a 1/8” border. Tuck behind the right side of the 1/2 frame. Adhere corner stickers to the top corners. Mat a 3” x 4 ¼” photo with black, leaving a 1/8” border and glue to the left of the first photo and over the top of the ½ frame. Adhere a corner sticker to the left corner and a gears border to the bottom edge of the mat. Line a single wing sticker with brown and glue to the back of the photo subject. For the right page: Mat a 6”x4” photo with brown cardstock, leaving a 1/8” border. Glue to the right side of the page, slightly above the border. Adhere a corner sticker to the bottom right. Mat a 3” x 4 ¼” photo with black, leaving a 1/8” border and glue to the left of the first photo. Adhere a gears border along the bottom edge of the mat and a large key above the photo.
Journaling: For the left page: Write on white cardstock using a small font. Cut into a 1 ¾” x 2” rectangle and ink the edges black. Line the typewriter sticker with gray paper. Cut the Dazzles™ frame from the top edge and glue the paper to extend from behind the typewriter. Foam tape to the right side of the small photo. Adhere “Beauty” Dazzles™ above the large photo along with a clock hand and “Dream” under the typewriter. For the right page: Adhere “inspire” above the large photo.
4. Dazzles™: For the left page: Adhere 4 staggered lengths of border chain stickers from the top left corner of the page. Place lined hearts and a large key at the end of each. Line the telescope with both brown and gray papers and glue to the bottom right page corner. For the right page: Line the helium balloon with striped paper and the basket with brown. Glue to the left side of the large photo. Line the top hat with gray paper and foam tape to the left corner of the small photo. Add gears and a feather. Adhere the bicycle to the lower right of the scallop frame background.
