Poinsettia Passion Diagonal Cut Card

For the card front: Cut a sheet of ivory cardstock to 8½"x11" and fold it in half vertically. Unfold it and fold it in half horizontally. Unfold the cardstock and cut it in half diagonally from the upper left to the lower right corners. (Set aside one piece for a second card.) Fold the right corner in on the vertical score and the upper corner down on the horizontal score.

Trace the paper pattern and cut it from the lower right corner of the Poinsettia Passion ivory border cardstock. Glue it centered on the lower right front panel. Trace and cut the paper pattern from the same cardstock and glue it centered on the upper front panel. Place two gold border Dazzles™ as shown, trimming the excess. Foam tape the “’tis the season” die-cut just to the upper panel, centering it on the card front.

Die cut the poinsettia flower layers from light and dark pink glitter foam, three flower centers and three sets of berries from white glitter foam. Heat the iron to medium-hot. Using the tweezers, carefully place one poinsettia petal layer on the hot iron, holding it there for a few seconds by pushing down on the center with the tweezers. When the petals have slightly curled under, scoot the petals off the iron to cool. Repeat to shape all the petal layers. Heat the berries to make them appear more rounded.

Die cut the foliage branches from suede paper and light and medium green cardstocks. Glue branches over the top of the die-cut sentiment and a couple short sprigs in the lower right corner. Use double-sided tape to layer and attach the three largest poinsettia petal sets together and to attach the flower to the front as shown. Glue berry sprigs among the branches.

Trim a berry sprig and glue the sprigs over the branches at the lower right. Glue the smallest poinsettia layer to the same sprigs. Glue two flower centers to the large poinsettia and one to the small poinsettia. Place jewel Dazzles™ on the borders and poinsettias as shown.

Lift just the upper front. Cut out the Poinsettia Passion “be joyful” sentiment and foam tape it to just the lower front panel, centered on the card. Open the right front panel.

For the inside: Cut 4"x5¼" Poinsettia Passion candle cardstock and glue it centered on the inside. Place gold border Dazzles™ as shown, trimming the excess. Glue the label die-cut shown at the upper right, then cut out the “happy holidays” sentiment and glue it as shown.
