Red & White Take-Out Gift Boxes
For the small box: Place the box front on the back of the Merry & Bright red/white striped paper and trace around the outer edge. Cut out, then trim 1/16" off each edge. Glue to the box front. Repeat for the back panel, then turn the box and trace and cut Merry & Bright red snowflakes paper to cover the remaining two sides. Glue in place.
Punch out the 2¾"x2 3/8" Merry & Bright red/white label, two 5/8" snowflakes, and a 5/8" flower die cut and remove the nibs. Glue the label to the box front. Cut out “Christmas is for those…&rdquo,; mat on white cardstock with 1/16" borders, then foam tape to the label. Glue a snowflake extending from under the label at the lower right, then foam tape a snowflake and flower as shown.
For each of the remaining sides, cut ¼" wide strips of the Merry & Bright green chevron paper. Trim the strips to fit the panels, then glue a strip to each panel, 3/8" from the box top edge. Punch out three stocking die cuts and remove the nibs. Glue a stocking to each of the three panels, hanging from the green strip. Cut three 4" green grosgrain ribbons and tie a knot in each. Trim the ends and glue one to each stocking top. Place pearls on each panel as shown.
Punch out the blue/red banner tag and stamp “Christmas calories don’t count” on it. Place a pearl at the top, then use the sheer ribbon to tie the tag onto the box handle.
For the large box: Trace and cut Merry & Bright red snowflakes paper for the front and back panels and glue in place. Cut 1½"x3 7/8" Merry & Bright striped paper and mat the long edges on red cardstock with 1/16" borders. Glue centered on the front panel.
Punch out the 3½"x2 5/8" label and stamp “when you stop believing…” on it. Foam tape the label to the front, 3/8" from the top edge. Punch out the Merry & Bright washi tape die cuts and remove the nibs. Glue the green die cut below the label, extending from the right edge, and trim the excess. Glue “believe” below it as shown.
Punch out a 5/8" flower and two 5/8" snowflake die cuts and remove the nibs. Glue and foam tape to the front as shown. Knot the red grosgrain ribbon, trim the ends, and glue next to the snowflakes.
Punch out the two Merry & Bright gray snowflake die cuts, remove the nibs, and glue one on each side panel below the handle.
Cut 3½"x1 1/8" Merry & Bright striped paper and mat the long edges on red cardstock with 1/16" borders. Trim the ends to fit the angled box sides, then glue to the back panel, 1 1/8" from the top edge.
Glue the two remaining washi tape die cuts above the striped paper as shown. Punch out the 2 5/8"x3¼" ornament die cut, remove the nibs, and foam tape to the back, near the bottom. Place pearls on each panel as shown, then tie the 1½" wide ribbon onto the handle in a bow.
